About
This site is presently parked as a possible future home for collating information about proposals and policy developments that aim at:
- recognizing the non-market sharing of digital works between individuals
- install new financing models for a sustainable and sharing-compatible cultural economy
There are existing proposals and policy developments in many countries, such as Germany, Sweden, Italy, the Netherlands, France and the UK in Europe, the US and Brazil in the Americas.
A detailed presentation and discussion of these debates can be found in the book Sharing – Culture and the Economy in the Internet Age by Philippe Aigrain (with the contribution of Suzanne Aigrain), published at Amsterdam University Press on February 1st, 2011. See this site for the augmented edition of the book.
