Published on 13 April 2010, this open letter is addressed to the Italian Interior Minister. It calls for the legalization on non-commercial uses of file sharing, and refers to law proposals that plan for the creation of a flat-rate based licensing scheme.

The Dutch Copyright Society organized a conference on 23 October to discuss collective licensing for legalizing P2P. Legal scholars such as Bernt Hugenholtz (IViR) presented their approach of voluntary collective licensing.

The following proposal was tabled by the Socialist group of the French National Assembly during the debates on the HADOPI / Creation and Internet law. It was discussed on 12 March 2009 and was not adopted by the Parliament, the right majority parties (UMP and UDC) having voted against it. This proposal concerns only music.

Internet & Creation: how to recognize Internet exchanges while funding creation is a book in French by Philippe Aigrain published in October 2008. A full-text version of the book is accessible for comments. An update (also in French) discussing options for implementations and needed policy complements to the creative contribution has been posted on the author’s blog on 14 May 2009.
